After updating to Sequel 2 the sub style Drum 'n' Bass is missing
Problem
After updating from Sequel 1 to Sequel 2 the sub style Drum 'n' Bass is missing.
Cause
When starting Sequel 2 for the first time, certain program preferences from Sequel 1 will be taken over so you can start without delay with a new project. In some cases it can happen that this sub style is not displayed.
Solution
PC Windows
- Exit Sequel 2
- In Windows, go to the Start Menu > Programs -> Sequel 2
- There, start "Open Sequel 2 Application Data Folder".
A new Explorer windows opens with all files and folders of the preferences for the host application. As an alternative you can browse to this location by yourself using the path e.g. "C:\Documents & Settings\[login username]\Application Data\Steinberg\Sequel 2"
4. Delete the "Mediabay" file
Mac OS X
- Exit Sequel 2
- Open the "Finder" and go to the folder: Users > [login user name] > Library > Preferences > Sequel 2
- Delete the "Mediabay" file
Now the Mediabay will be rebuild on starting Sequel 2. You will find two Drum 'n' Bass entries: one contains the MIDI loops and the other the audio loops.
